DBA COVERT CARRIER
Choosing the correct size for a bulletproof and stab-resistant vest is essential for maximum protection, comfort, and mobility. A vest should fit closely around the torso without restricting movement. When the fit is correct, the vest protects the vital organs in the upper body and normally extends down to approximately the navel area.
The design of our ballistic panels focuses on maximizing the protected surface area while maintaining excellent mobility. An ergonomic shape ensures the vest moves naturally with the body, making it suitable for long periods of wear.
Use the guide below to determine the correct size for your vest.
Step 1 – Use a measuring tape
Start by using a flexible measuring tape. For the most accurate result, take your measurements while wearing a thin layer of clothing, such as a T-shirt.
Step 2 – Measure your waist
Wrap the measuring tape around your body at the level of your navel.
This measurement gives us the circumference of your waist.
Make sure the tape:
- runs straight around your body
- sits snug against your body without being too tight
The measured waist circumference determines the correct vest size.

To ensure the best fit for your dog, it’s important to take accurate measurements. Start by measuring the chest at the widest point, just behind the front legs, while the dog is standing naturally. Then measure the spine length from the base of the neck (where the collar sits) to the base of the tail. Make sure the dog is standing upright and relaxed for the most accurate results.
If the dog falls between sizes, we would recommend sizing up. If you require any bespoke size, let us know and we can see what we can do for you.

THE DBA COVERT CARRIER
The DBA Covert Carrier is specifically developed for our SB-001™ platform, designed for discreet use without compromising on fit, comfort, or protection coverage.
NOTE: This is the carrier only. Soft armor panels are NOT included.
The carrier is built with Outlast® PCM technology to actively regulate body temperature. Unlike traditional fabrics that only wick away moisture, Outlast® absorbs, stores, and releases heat as needed. This prevents overheating during high activity and reduces heat loss when your body cools down, allowing for comfortable wear over extended periods of 12–14 hours.
Designed for concealment under clothing, the carrier offers a low-profile, ergonomic fit without unnecessary bulk. The construction ensures that ballistic panels remain properly aligned with the body, so the vest performs exactly as intended.
The design includes full side overlap, eliminating open gaps and maximizing protection coverage.
For a secure and durable fit, the carrier is equipped with original Velcro® brand hook-and-loop fasteners, known for their reliability and long lifespan under heavy daily use.
The DBA Covert Carrier is designed in the Netherlands and produced entirely in Europe, with the majority manufactured in our own facility. This allows us to maintain full control over quality, consistency, and performance.
DISCREET & CONCEALABLE
A concealable bulletproof vest is designed to protect against bullets and stabs while staying hidden under normal clothing. It’s used in situations where protection is needed, but visibility is not.
The DBA SB-001™ Covert is built with that in mind. It offers strong ballistic and stab resistance in a thin, lightweight setup that follows the body closely. The vest covers the front, back, and sides with overlap, so there are no exposed areas.
Because of the low-profile design, it can be worn under a shirt or jacket without standing out or adding unnecessary bulk.

Outlast® is widely regarded as one of the most advanced temperature-regulating technologies available, designed to actively manage heat and keep your body at a stable temperature during daily wear.
Velcro® brand
We use original Velcro® brand hook-and-loop fasteners to ensure a secure, durable, and reliable fit on every carrier. Velcro® is widely regarded as the highest-quality fastening solution on the market, known for its long lifespan and consistent performance, even under heavy daily use.
OUTLAST® PCM TECHNOLOGY
The covert carrier features Outlast® PCM technology, originally developed by NASA, to keep your body at a stable, comfortable temperature. Unlike regular fabrics that only wick away sweat or heat, Outlast® actively stores and releases heat as needed, adapting to your movements, activity level, and changing conditions.
This means the vest stays comfortable whether it’s warm or cold, allowing you to wear it for 12–14 hours straight without overheating or getting chilled. By regulating your body temperature, Outlast® helps you stay focused and perform at your best during long operational periods.
PRODUCTION
All of our vests and soft armor vests are 100% produced in Europe, with every panel made in our own facility in the Netherlands.
This allows us to guarantee high-quality production and consistent protection in every vest.
