THE DBA SB-001™ K9

This K9 soft armor vest is developed by Dutch Body Armor for operational dogs in high-threat tactical environments. It provides reliable ballistic and stab protection while maintaining the dog’s mobility and endurance.

Protection is delivered by SB-001 soft armor panels with an overall thickness of 5 mm, constructed from Solstice GoldShield® high-performance fibers. The panels are ultrasonically sealed in a Rivertex TPU cover, protecting them from sweat, dirt, and moisture and enabling a 7-year ballistic warranty.

The K9 carrier is purpose-built for professional use and features metal quick-click buckles, a top evacuation grab/drag handle, and two Velcro® ID patches. The outer shell is made from Cordura® textured nylon. The vest is available in three sizes: S/M/L.

The ballistic panels are manufactured in Dutch Body Armor’s own facility in the Netherlands, ensuring consistent quality and control.

CERTIFICATIONS

Both the ballistic and needle tests have been officially conducted at the independent TNO laboratory in the Netherlands, a leading defense testing institute, resulting in an official VPAM Statement of Compliance certification.

In addition, the stab resistance was tested according to NIJ 0115.00 standards at E2 level using both the S1 blade and P1A blade, performed by the accredited US laboratory Element.

Honeywell (Solstice) advanced materials

In our SB-001 panels, we use high-quality materials from Honeywell Advanced Materials, known under the Solstice line. We utilize the latest and thinnest material available, offering exceptional performance and comfort.

Rivertex TPU materials

Each panel is ultrasonically sealed in a TPU package, using materials sourced from the certified Dutch supplier Rivertex. This protective layer ensures the ballistic package is 100% waterproof and fully protected from sweat, dust, and other contaminants, allowing us to confidently offer a 7-year warranty on every panel.

Cordura® textured nylon

The carrier is constructed with Cordura® textured nylon, a material renowned for its extreme durability, abrasion resistance, and long-lasting performance in demanding environments. Cordura® protects the vest from everyday wear and tear, scratches, and harsh outdoor conditions
